Fina vs Ramis was the match of the day in week six of the ongoing MSV Life National League, the two having previously been joint top, along with okmalta.com. Ramis won the encounter 2-6, and a similar result for okmalta.com against The Clan means that it’s now a two-way split at the top of Div I, with Fina now four points down in third.

Turu’s Knights managed a good 8-0 win over Gladiators to improve to fourth place, while Rogantino’s Restaurant took all eight against MIA, as did Spare Me Plz against HepO2 Acorn.

Ramis opened their account against Fina in confident fashion, winning the first of the series with an impressive 783-858 score line.

Their pace then barely faltered in game two which they took 741-842 to double their lead to 0-4. Fina were then finally able to respond in the closer final game, which they won 794-774 to take away their quarter share of the points, but lose their shared lead.

Okmalta.com also won 6-2 against The Clan this week to stay level with Ramis, but hold the top spot thanks to a better season pinfall to date.

It was The Clan who were first to make the scoreboard, taking the opener 718-742, but their opponents were quick to respond, winning the second game 751-648 to draw level, taking the pin advantage into game three.

Okmalta.com seemed to step up a couple of gears to easily claim it 819-660, making sure of the series points for the match win. Rankin Camilleri (okmalta.com), 583.

Turu’s Knights move up one spot to fourth place following another good result in week six, a full point victory over Gladiators, who are now at the foot of the table.

The latter never got a look in during game one which the Knights took 762-665, but were close to taking a two point share in a tight second game, which they lost by just 14 pins (754-740). Spare Me Plz stepped up their survival quest in this their debut season in the top flight with a sound 8-0 thrashing of HepO2 Acorn.

While they opened the scoring with a sedate 687-624 game one win, Spare Me Plz went on to shot the team game of the week in game two, which they bagged with a great 859 against a god 780 effort from the opposition. Game three went 825-693 in their favour to complete the rout.

Rogantino’s Restaurant are now sixth, having taken all eight from their clash with MIA this week, the latter dropping into the second relegation spot with the hefty defeat.

MIA appeared to be unable to get into their stride, as they went down 648-772 in the one sided opening game, and were then soon 0-4 down as Rogantino’s bagged the second, 660-703. Game three was closer, but it was Rogantino’s again in a 674-697 score line.
